What it is known for
Gorilla Zkittlez effects and experience
- Giggly
- Hungry
- Sleepy
Consumer reports often describe a giggly mood, increased appetite and sleepiness. Taken together, those descriptions give Gorilla Zkittlez a more settled reputation than an alert, task-oriented one.
The experience is not necessarily sleepy from beginning to end, and the name alone cannot tell you how intense a particular flower will feel. Dry eyes, dry mouth and headaches are also reported. A sweet aroma is not evidence of a gentle effect.

Consumer-reported character
The effect tags summarize Leafly reports. Breeder language about intensity does not establish onset, duration or a guaranteed result.

Aroma, flavor and appearance
- Fruity
- Berry
- Pine
- Earthy
- Gas
Gorilla Zkittlez combines fruit and berry sweetness with a sharper pine note. Earth and gas give it a more pungent background, so the profile has both a sweet side and a drier, resinous edge. The fruit is central without being the whole character.
For someone comparing sweeter strains, that balance is useful: a berry-led batch can still have noticeable earth and fuel. The relative emphasis varies, with some flower presenting as more fruity and other batches bringing the gassy side forward.

Breeder and consumer descriptions
Fruit, berries and pine appear in the breeder account; consumer descriptions add gas and earth. These are sensory descriptions, not measured terpene ratios.

Genetics and history
Reported parentage · accounts or versions differ
Gorilla Zkittlez combines GG4 with Original Z in an indica-dominant hybrid known for fruity aroma and a relaxing reputation. Barney’s Farm now presents its photoperiod release as Gorilla Z, so both names can appear when researching the same breeder’s line.
The appeal is easy to understand: sweet, recognizably fruity notes sit alongside a more earthy, resinous character. It occupies a different sensory space from a purely sharp citrus strain or a strongly savory one.

Growing Gorilla Zkittlez
Published characteristics for the named versions below. Flowering time excludes the earlier growth period; seed-to-harvest estimates cover the full cycle.
Barney’s Farm Gorilla Zkittlez photoperiod
- Flowering time
- 55–65 days
- Plant & flower structure
- Medium-to-tall indoor plant
Barney’s Farm Gorilla Z Auto
- Seed to harvest
- 75–80 days from seed
- Starting material
- Separate autoflower release
There are two documented Barney’s Farm releases to distinguish. The photoperiod version is the GG4 × Original Z cross. The breeder’s current table describes 55–65 days of flowering and a medium-to-tall indoor plant; those are release-specific descriptions, not measurements from every grow.
Gorilla Z Auto adds BF Super Auto #1 to the pedigree. Its published 75–80-day timing covers the period from seed, which makes it a different kind of figure from flowering time alone.
The full release name therefore answers an important practical question before any numbers do: are you reading about the photoperiod cross or its auto relative? Keeping those entries separate also prevents the shorter stature or life-cycle description of the auto from being assigned to the original line.

Different clocks for different releases
The photoperiod table lists 55–65 flowering days and the auto page 75–80 days from seed. Conflicting outdoor dates and yield claims are not carried into a universal grow specification.

Barney’s Farm describes its photoperiod version as indica-dominant. Consumer reports commonly mention sleepiness, appetite and a giggly mood, but the category cannot predict an individual response.
